    These brass circle and beaded enamel and brass Mal de Ojo earrings are simple yet effective. The central Mal de Ojo or evil eye adornment moves independently in the brass ring making for lovely movement when wearing.  Mal de Ojo is a protective symbol seen in a plethora of cultures and religions around the world and references can be traced back to 3000 BC in ancient Egypt.  Mal ojo is the belief that jealousy, negative thought, or malice can create illness within the body.  The Mal de Ojo is trusted to ward off the evil eye.

    The measure roughly 2.2" from the arch of the ear wire to the bottom of the earring.  The brass circle measures approximately 1.2" in diameter.
